HudsonMann History
HudsonMann was founded in 1992 as a human resource consulting firm that provided training,
consulting services, and outsourcing to the HR community in both public and private sectors.
Service offerings included harassment training, consulting, reporting and investigations;
compensation audits and analyses; HR due diligence audits; recruiting services; Diversity, Equity
and Inclusion training as well as other professional development training.
Beginning in 2005, HudsonMann began to focus primarily on affirmative action plan
outsourcing and consulting as its core business. The company developed proprietary, cutting
edge, industry-leading solutions utilizing technology, software and web-based platforms for
clients all over the United States. HudsonMann assembled a team of affirmative action and EEO
specialists with a corporate mission to help clients reduce liability while increasing profitability
and the diversity of their teams. That mission, the company core values of providing Quality,
Value, Service and Expertise combined with a commitment to providing unparalleled customer
service allowed our clients to succeed in a dynamic environment where change is constant.
As a result, HudsonMann experienced steady growth through client retention, client referral and
grass roots marketing emerging as a leader in the industry over the next 28 years. HudsonMann
clients ranged in size from those with as few as fifty employees to some who ranked in the top
10 of the Fortune 100. That diverse client base included government entities and private sector
companies representing almost every major industry type. The company was supporting more
than 700 clients at more than 3,000 separate client sites with over two million employees
throughout the United States and U.S. territories at its zenith.
Throughout its history, HudsonMann’s unique levels of service and expertise have brought us
positive recognition from our clients, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs
(OFCCP), as well as state and local government entities. HudsonMann was recognized by the
Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Human Resource Certification
Institute (HRCI) to offer recertification credit hours and Continuous Education Units (CEU’s) for
our training. Additionally, HudsonMann was an Institutional Provider through the South
Carolina Criminal Justice Academy offering several courses approved for CEU’s.
The greatest testament to our culture of performance during this period was our exceptional rate
of client retention. As evidence of the HudsonMann corporate culture of total dedication and
support, we are proud to have had an employee turnover rate of nearly zero (0) percent.
HudsonMann was also named one of the Best Places To Work In South Carolina for six years in
a row from 2017-2022. The company was also named one of the Top Affirmative Action
Services Companies by Manage HR Magazine in 2021.
HudsonMann divested itself of its HR consulting business in 2022 after extensive growth over
the previous 29-year period. The company is now a privately held, service-disabled veteran
owned holding company headquartered in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Its current subsidiaries include
HudsonMann Properties, Intra-Coastal Studies (ICS) and HudsonMann Publishing.
Today, our staff consists of retired senior military leaders, Human Resource professionals as well
as CEO-level business leaders who draw from years of experience having held leadership,
management and training positions in diverse working environments to include the military, law
enforcement, private and public sectors.
